Cardiff, Wales | 29 April – 4 May 2026

Attention, HYROX community! If there's one event marked in red on the UK calendar for 2026, it's this one. The HYROX Cardiff is not just another race; it's a unique opportunity to compete in the majestic Principality Stadium, the legendary home of Welsh rugby. Imagine swapping the turf for the running lane and feeling the roar of a national stadium while you push the sled.

Cardiff provides an epic setting to close the season in style. The Welsh atmosphere is electric and the course, staged in a stadium of this calibre, injects an energy that pushes you to deliver that final extra on the Burpees. Prepare for a battle of endurance and strength in one of Britain’s most vibrant cities.

Key Event Details

Venue:
Principality Stadium
Westgate St, Cardiff CF10 1NS, Wales, United Kingdom

Dates:
From 29 April to 4 May 2026

Getting there:
Airport: Cardiff Airport (CWL) is about 35 minutes away. You can also fly to Bristol (BRS), which has direct bus and train connections (approx. 1 hour).
By train: The "Cardiff Central" station is only a 5-minute walk from the stadium. It's the smartest option to avoid traffic.
Parking: Being in the city centre, parking is limited. We recommend the NCP car parks on Westgate Street or using the Park & Ride on the outskirts of the city.

The HYROX Format in the Stadium

The challenge stays true: 8 km of total running and 8 functional stations. However, competing at the Principality Stadium has a special "feeling." The straights are typically wide and fast, ideal for setting a solid running pace. Make sure to wear shoes with good grip, as the surface in these facilities is usually very firm and reactive.
