From October 23 to 25, 2026, the P&J Live in Aberdeen (Scotland) hosts the eighth edition of the Rogue Invitational, for the third consecutive year on Scottish soil. It is one of the most demanding dates on the calendar, because it brings together on the same bill the best CrossFit, Strongman and Strongwoman athletes on the planet.

What is the Rogue Invitational

Born in 2019 as a sanctioned event ahead of that year's CrossFit Games, the Rogue Invitational has become one of the benchmark competitions outside the official CrossFit calendar. In 2021 the Strongman category was added, with the highest prize purse ever seen in that sport, and in 2024 Strongwoman was included.

Format: three competitions in a single event

The Rogue Invitational combines three divisions under the same roof:

  • CrossFit Individual (men and women): traditionally 20 athletes per category.
  • Strongman
  • Strongwoman

Each division has its own selection process and narrative, but they share the stage and competition dates.

How athletes qualify

Qualification combines three routes:

  • Rogue Points System: a ranking that weights each athlete's performance in the CrossFit Open, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, CrossFit Games, Wodapalooza and World Fitness Project, with more weight for recent results and less for earlier seasons. Historically, a minimum of 10 athletes qualify via this method.
  • Direct invitation: Rogue reserves the right to invite whomever it deems appropriate, usually from the podium and top finishers at the CrossFit Games.
  • The Q: the online qualifier, which qualifies athletes directly without going through the points system.

The Q: last route to qualify

From August 21 to 23, athletes who have not been invited directly can qualify through The Q, the online qualifier. Registration costs $25 ($45 with the official t-shirt included), workouts and standards are published the preceding Thursday, the competition takes place on those three days at the location chosen by each athlete, and results and videos must be submitted before Sunday at 20:00 (US Eastern Time).

10% of The Q registrations go to the Rogue Invitational prize pool, and those who qualify via this route receive travel and accommodation assistance, as well as entry into the Iron Game Athlete Fund.

The champions from the previous edition

At the Rogue Invitational 2025, also held in Aberdeen, the titles were taken by:

  • CrossFit men: Jeffrey Adler
  • CrossFit women: Laura Horvath
  • Strongman: Mitchell Hooper (his third consecutive title)
  • Strongwoman: Inez Carrasquillo (her second title)
