Earth 2.0 is a configurable weighted jump rope that functions as a fitness system rather than a fixed product. It allows training with different load levels using 2.5 mm, 4 mm and 8 mm cables, plus interchangeable weights in the handles.

It can reach up to 1.6 kg total weight. It is oriented toward strength training, muscular endurance, metabolic conditioning and cardiovascular work with load.

It also enables double unders and technical sessions with lighter setups. It is not intended to maximize competitive speed but to provide a more demanding, controlled and progressive stimulus for daily training.

Materials

The Velites Earth 2.0 is manufactured with high-quality aluminum in the handles and weights to ensure strength and durability.

The connectors and cable core are made of stainless steel, while the outer coating is durable, flexible PVC. These materials withstand intense, repeated training in demanding environments such as CrossFit or functional training.

Handles and weights have a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects. The cable is a wear item whose lifespan depends on use and surface; using a mat is recommended to extend durability.

Cable: Standard 4 mm cable (included)

Handle material: Aerospace-grade aluminum

Additional accessories: Weights and cables sold separately

Included accessories: Handles and standard 4 mm cable

Weight: 0.31 kg

Innovation

Earth 2.0 introduces an innovative approach to rope jumping by being conceived as a modular, progressive training system.

Instead of focusing solely on speed, it integrates adjustable load through cables and weights to generate greater muscle activation and metabolic stimulus. This versatility allows training strength, endurance and technique with a single product. Its patented design, recognized with the Red Dot Design Award, combines functionality, aesthetics and performance.

It also integrates digital value via access to the Velites Training App and a course led by a world champion, extending the experience beyond the physical product.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Earth 2.0 Jump Rope?

The **Earth 2.0 Jump Rope is a weighted jump rope** designed primarily **for strength training, muscular endurance and general conditioning** through rope jumping. Unlike a traditional speed rope, it functions as a configurable training system that allows variation of weight, cable type and rotation feel according to training goals. It is **designed for regular, intensive use** and to withstand demanding contexts such as CrossFit, functional training and general fitness, providing greater load and stimulus with fewer repetitions.

What types of training is it intended for?

The Earth 2.0 is intended for jump-rope training where load is a primary stimulus, not only speed. It is used for **weighted rope strength work**, localized muscular endurance, metabolic conditioning and cardiovascular training with added load. It can also **be used for double unders, technical coordination and rhythm sessions**, and speed training with lighter configurations. The Earth 2.0 is designed for jump rope training where load and resistance are the primary stimuli, not just speed. **Primary Uses:** Strength jump rope training Localized muscular endurance Metabolic conditioning Weighted cardiovascular work Daily jump rope-focused workouts **Also suitable for:** Double unders Coordination and rhythm drills Speed sessions (with lighter configurations)

How does it differ from a speed rope?

The main difference between the Earth 2.0 and a speed rope is load. Speed ropes are designed to minimize weight and maximize rotation speed to reduce fatigue. The **Earth 2.0 adds resistance** to **increase muscle activation** and create a greater stimulus with fewer repetitions. Even in its lightest configuration, it is heavier than a traditional speed rope, making it more demanding muscularly and cardiovascularly, and better suited for strength and endurance work.

How much weight can it reach?

The Earth 2.0 can be configured **to reach approximately 1.6 kg** total weight by combining cables and handle weights. It offers 2.5 mm, 4 mm and 8 mm cables, as well as interchangeable weights of 50 g, 100 g, 150 g, 250 g and 300 g. This variety allows up to **16 different configurations**, from relatively light sessions to very demanding strength workouts. This adjustability is one of the system's main strengths.

Is it suitable as a first jump rope?

Yes, Earth 2.0 can be a good first jump rope if your goal is to train regularly with the rope as a primary discipline. Its versatility lets you start with accessible setups and progressively increase load without changing equipment. However, if your sole objective is to learn double unders as fast as possible, a speed rope may be more efficient. Earth 2.0 is ideal for users seeking a more complete, structured approach focused on strength and endurance.

Can you do Double Unders and Triple Unders with the Earth 2.0?

The Earth 2.0 can be used for high-volume double unders, but it provides a different stimulus than a speed rope. Even in its simplest configuration: **Handles:** Heavier than speed ropes like the Fire 2.0. **Cable:** The 4 mm standard cable is twice as thick as a speed cable. This results in: Higher muscular load Increased fatigue Lower top speed **Triple unders** are not the primary goal of this rope. If attempted, the 4 mm standard cable is recommended for its inertia and control, though the Earth 2.0 may feel heavy for this specific movement.

Does it include an app or training programs?

Yes, the Earth 2.0 includes access to the Velites Training App, which offers over 1,000 workouts, on-demand programs, progress tracking and personalization based on goals and available equipment. It also includes a step-by-step course designed by world champion **Adrienn Banhegyi**, focused on improving technique, progression and efficient use of the Earth 2.0 system. These resources add significant value, especially for users who train independently.

What warranty does the product have?

The Earth 2.0 handles and weights have a two-year warranty covering manufacturing defects, reflecting its focus on quality and durability. The cable is not covered by the warranty, as it is considered a wear item whose lifespan depends on use, training intensity and the surface used. To extend cable life, use of a jump rope mat is recommended.

Available Cables & Training Types

The Earth 2.0 allows for quick cable swaps to modify your training stimulus. **2.5 mm Cable:** The lightest configuration. Ideal for faster workouts, technical drills, and rhythm work, providing more feedback than a standard speed rope. **4 mm Standard Cable:** The most popular setup. Offers a perfect balance of control, weight, and rhythm. Ideal for beginners starting weighted training or athletes seeking a new challenge in double unders. **8 mm Monster Cable:** Designed for strength and muscular endurance. Primarily used for heavy loading sessions, though advanced athletes may use it regularly for training and competition.

Handle Weights & Possible Configurations

The Earth 2.0 allows you to add weights to the handles to increase the total load. **Available Weights:** 50g | 100g | 150g | 250g | 300g By combining cables and weights, the Earth 2.0 offers up to **16 different configurations**, ranging from controlled workouts to highly demanding strength sessions. This versatility is one of the core values of the Earth 2.0 system.

Velites Comparison: Earth 2.0 vs. Other Ropes

**Earth 2.0 vs. Fire 2.0** **Choose Earth 2.0 if:** You seek strength and resistance, want weighted training, or use the rope as your primary workout. **Choose Fire 2.0 if:** Your main goal is double unders, you prioritize speed and efficiency, or you perform high-volume jumping. **Earth 2.0 vs. Cyclone** **Choose Earth 2.0 if:** You focus on conditioning and strength, and prioritize load over advanced technique. **Choose Cyclone if:** You want to master crossovers and freestyle, or practice complex technical jump rope movements.
