The CrossFit Games 2026 will be held from July 24 to 26 at the SAP Center in San José , California. This is the 20th edition of the most demanding competition in the fitness world, and the program again includes 20 scored events for individual athletes.
What is known before the start: there will be swimming and cycling among the events. What we don't know until they are revealed: the workouts, the weights, the standards, the allocation across days. At the CrossFit Games, the program is announced gradually in the days leading up to competition. That uncertainty is part of the appeal of the competition.

Event 1. The 2007 Hopper
Date: Wednesday, July 22
A direct nod to the first edition of the CrossFit Games in 2007. The workout combines rowing and a classic mix of pull-ups and push jerks.
Structure
1,000 meters of rowing
Then, 5 rounds:
- 25 pull-ups
- 7 push jerks
Weights
- Women: 85 lb (38.5 kg)
- Men: 135 lb (61 kg)
Recommended Velites equipment
For the 25-rep sets of pull-ups, wrist guards are key.
Event 2. Ranch 7200
Date: Wednesday, July 22
7,200 meters of trail running. A pure endurance test on the Aromas, California ranch where the Games were born in 2007. The longest event in the program by distance.

- 7,200 meters of trail running
Recommended Velites equipment
For an almost 8 km run over uneven terrain, footwear makes the difference. Velites' Hybrid 1.0, designed for mixed demands between running and functional work, were the most chosen by Velites athletes at the 2025 Games.
Events 3, 4 and 5. The CrossFit Total
Date: Wednesday, July 22
An absolute CrossFit classic. Three maximal lifts that test the athletes' brute strength: back squat, shoulder press and deadlift. The result is the sum of the best attempt of each of the three lifts.

- Event 3: 1 rep max back squat
- Event 4: 1 rep max shoulder press
- Event 5: 1 rep max deadlift
