Málaga, Spain | 16–19 April 2026
Get ready, HYROX family! The Costa del Sol dresses up to host one of the most anticipated and largest events on the calendar: Leapmotor HYROX Málaga 2026. From 16 to 19 April, the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga (FYCMA) will become the epicenter of functional fitness worldwide. Four days of pure competition under the Andalusian sun to close the season in style.
Málaga is not just a race; it's an experience. The FYCMA offers a wide, fast venue, ideal whether you're going for a Personal Record (PR) or debuting in the community. And remember: after the 100 Wall Balls, fried "pescaíto" and espetos await you for the best recovery in the world!
Key Event Details
Venue:
FYCMA – Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga
Av. de José Ortega y Gasset, 201, 29006 Málaga, Spain
Dates:
From Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 April 2026
How to get there:
Airport: Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) is only 6 km away. You can take the Cercanías train (Line C1) to the "Victoria Kent" stop and walk about 10–15 minutes to the venue.
By train: If you arrive by AVE at Málaga-María Zambrano station, you're very close. A taxi will get you there in 5 minutes, or you can use bus lines 4, 19 or 20 that connect directly to the FYCMA.
Parking: FYCMA has a large paid parking lot, but with a four-day event and thousands of athletes, we recommend arriving well in advance or using public transport to avoid pre-race stress.
The HYROX Format
You already know the rules of the game: 8 km of running and 8 functional stations. Málaga's course is usually very fluid thanks to the spacious halls. Be mindful of heat management; although the event is indoor, Málaga's April weather starts to warm up and hydration will be key from the first kilometer.
The 8 HYROX Stations
1000 m SkiErg
Don't go out on fire. Use the Ski to warm the engine, not to burn it out.
50 m Sled Push
The FYCMA floor has good grip. Drive through the heels and maintain a straight line to be efficient.
50 m Sled Pull
Pull from the hips. The sled moves easier if you use your whole body and not just your arms.
80 m Burpee Broad Jumps
Steel mindset. Keep a steady pace and don't stop; each jump brings you closer to the finish.
1000 m Rowing
Use it to normalize your breathing. It's the midpoint of the race.
200 m Farmers Carry
Chest up and short but quick steps. Don't let those hands open!
100 m Sandbag Lunges
This is where podiums are won or lost. Keep the bag stable and the core engaged.
100 Wall Balls
The final "hell." Hear the crowd's shouts and throw that ball with everything. The finish is there!
